Recently in the news, 2 hotels from the Philippines were included in the 81 hotels who bagged the Asean Green Hotels award by the Association of South East Asian Nations and they are the El Nido Resort in Palawan and Shangri-La Island Resort in Cebu.
So, going green is one of the factors to boost eco-tourism and the hotel industry in the country as well.
